syno-indicator 0.5 released

syno-indocator-0-5Today marks the release of the somewhat overdue update for syno-indicator, the app indicator to keep an eye on the download station of your Synology NAS. The 0.5 release mainly contains bug fixes and compatibility improvements with later versions of Ubuntu, but also features immediate updates and some handy status icons for every download.

syno-indicator: App-Indicator for you Synology NAS

syno-indicator_005So, I’m trying to get into Python/GTK. Also, I haven’t been satisfied with the Firefox-Addons for Synology Diskstations. And I use Ubuntu. So obviously, I had to write an App-Indicator for said NAS:

syno-indicator: Provides an App-Indicator for you Synology NAS. Add links and torrents, see download progress, auto-add torrents from a folder. Only useful if your platform supports App-Indicators and you own a Synology NAS!

Update: Version 0.2 released, adds “details”-dialog
